Tips when dating online
You miss being in a relationship, spending precious time with someone, sharing all the silly moments with that special person. You might feel that your time is ticking and would like to find the love of your life.
So you have decided that for the thousandth time, you would subscribe to a dating website. (It seems that in today’s world, the old fashioned way to meet someone is not working properly). You created your profile, uploaded a few pictures and are ready to meet some interesting people.
Here are some DOs and DON'Ts when online dating:
“Hi I'm …… I have just read your profile and found it very interesting I liked what you rite hope you like mine.”
Please don’t send messages like the above. First of all, there is nothing as off-putting as a spelling mistake. If English is not your first language, please use the advantages of what a computer can offer in our digital age before you hit send, every time. Secondly, please give examples of what you find interesting in the other person’s profile. What on earth makes you think that someone, just because you say, “Oh baby, you look amazing,” would give you even a second of his or her time? Online dating provides you the opportunity to introduce yourself, to stand out from the crowd and persuade the other user that you are the man or woman of his or her dreams. Then, and only then, they might want to get to know you better. The last thing that I would advise you is to upload a few pictures of yourself. You might have the best written intro of all, but if you added no photos of yourself, there is hardly a chance that anyone would respond to your message.
Once you found someone interesting, stop messaging each other back and forth for a month. Time is ticking. Schedule your first date and JUMP!
